THE RETURN OF THE KING
The Arnold Palmer Painting

Our first collaborative project has been absolutely wonderful to work on. We were honoured to work with Glen Goodwin, a superb organiser and founder of the Greens and Dreams Charitable Foundation. Following considerable discussion with Glen, we were shortlisted and then selected to provide a painting of Arnold Palmer, depicting his first P.G.A. tour win at the Canadian Open in Toronto, held at the Weston G.C. in 1955.

From this painting a signed limited edition of only 50 giclees has been printed, for sale by auction worldwide. The entire proceeds will go to the Sick Kids Hospital Foundation - Toronto

The original painting was presented to Arnold Palmer at a gala dinner on the 12th September 2005 following his visit to the Sick Kids Hospital Foundation in Toronto.

Arnold Palmer has signed the giclees (below right) for his visit to Toronto. A generous and almost unprecedented gesture.

Producing the artwork for this commission was a fairly complex procedure as the reference provided was incomplete.

A journey to the Royal Canadian Golf Association Hall of Fame in Glen Abbey, Mississauga to view the Seagram Trophy was essential, as was researching the type of layout at Weston G.C.

We decided on a symbolic, as opposed to ultra realistic, interpretation of the brief. The sun emerging from behind a bank of trees to symbolise the breaking through of a new and extraordinary talent in golf in addition to a new era.
